Special Feature: Classic Car Festival in Kiryu
Sorry for the recent string of “break” posts…💦
We’ve hit a delay on the 2000GT project, so there hasn’t been much to share lately.
But don’t worry—our series “Until It Regains Its Glory” will keep going, so please stay tuned!
Still, posting nothing but “we’re on a break” feels a bit dull…
So, I asked Nomura if anything interesting happened recently, and here’s what he told me!
On November 2nd, he secretly went to check out the Classic Car Festival in Kiryu, held in Gunma Prefecture.

From the moment he arrived, crowds were gathering, admiring the cars rolling in with pure excitement.

That day, classic cars were cruising all through Kiryu city.
The atmosphere was amazing—the venue was Gunma University’s Kiryu Campus, but honestly, it felt like the entire town had turned into one big festival.

There was even a grand opening ceremony!
Apparently, the event is held here because the local schools and community have played a huge role in shaping Japan’s automotive industry. You can really feel the history behind it.

And in the back? A special exhibit from Hino Motors, featuring some truly rare vehicles.

Oh? What do we have here?
So, that’s Nomura’s quick report from the Classic Car Festival.
(Though… he hinted there was another reason for his visit. A personal one. 😉)
Nomura, you went all the way to Gunma?! 😲
Next time, we’ll kick off a brand-new series featuring another legendary car!

We won’t be doing a full restoration this time, but… who knows? Maybe this classic beauty will run again.
